So what about those ubiquitous reasoning behind the cholesterol therapies?

Statins do lower, in most cases, LDL-C. But is the culprit with cholesterol really low density lipoprotein cholesterol?

No…the real danger is LDL-P. The ‘P’ stands for particle. The small, dense particles are the actual problem. Usually, high triglycerides are present in this case.

To counter it, consider a low carb diet, niacin, Omega 3s and exercise.
